Our Supplier Relationship Manager Maggie Yang in a factory in Far East

What has happened
Since last autumn, we have been dealing with rising prices and delivery times in the entire electronics market. This trend is also affecting the display industry and is continuing. One of the main causes is the worldwide strong increase in demand for consumer goods such as PC monitors, TV sets, tablets or smartphones with the necessary infrastructure. In addition, a lack of containers or freight capacities, especially from Asia to Europe, is also leading to significant price increases in transport costs.

How we deal with this
We are in very close contact with our production partners in Asia. Through our local supplier relationship managers, we are also able to maintain the extremely important personal contact. This enables us to always find individual and efficient solutions for our customers, even in this challenging market environment.

A continuous supply of materials is the overriding goal here, so that our customers can successfully compete in the market with their products. A long-term disposition along the entire supply chain is the clear recommendation to our customers. In this way, we can continue to work together to ensure the most stable supply capability possible in the future.

Outlook
After evaluating the available information and the continuous exchange with our partners along the entire supply chain, we assume that these market conditions will accompany us until the end of 2021. But as already communicated in our newsletter last autumn: Challenges are there to be mastered.

From 01.03. to 05.03.2021, we will be participating as an exhibitor at this year’s virtual embedded world 2021. Take the opportunity for a detailed exchange, tailored to your individual situation. At the same time, find out about the latest technology trends and product innovations.

Our experienced team is at your disposal and looks forward to your virtual trade fair visit.
