From Project to Practice: A Final Thesis with Real Impact

As part of his diploma project, Nick and three fellow students developed the ADT500 – an automated measurement system for graphic displays with a working area of 500 × 500 mm. The goal was to integrate the professional MK550T measurement device into a custom-built test system in order to perform brightness, color point, and flicker measurements automatically, efficiently, and with consistent quality.

Nick was responsible for the entire software development – including control logic, interfaces, and the graphical user interface (GUI). In the video, he shares personal insights into his education, the collaborative project work, and the implementation of the measurement logic.

What began as a diploma thesis is now a permanent part of our operations: The developed system is used in our in-house laboratory and allows us to perform display measurements internally – independently, flexibly, and with consistent result quality.
