Fast time-to-market
The use of a smart embedded product makes it possible to quickly realise a comprehensive and high-quality HMI. Not only the broad and universal range of functions, but also the excellent software tools distinguish this product range.
The simple, intuitive GUI designer (based on TouchGFX) allows customers to display their graphics on the excellent TFT displays in top quality. In addition, the manufacturer offers various software templates for free use. This means that even inexperienced developers can quickly become familiar with GUI design.

Features of the Smart Embedded Displays
The product range supports the STM32F7xx and STM32H7xx processors. The high-performance MCUs used are based on Cortex-M7 with clock frequencies of 200 MHz and 400 Hz respectively. Smart Embedded Displays are available with 5 V and 7 V up to 26 V supply voltage. Power supply via PoE (Power over Ethernet) is available as an option. GPIO, SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485, CAN, USB and Ethernet are supported as standard interfaces. The internal flash memory can be up to 1 MB, externally up to 64 MB are possible. The internal RAM can be up to 1 MB, externally up to 16 MB. HY4614 or ILI2511 can be used as touch controllers, and JST and the SM0 series are available as peripheral connectors.

Powerful development kits
There are several development kits available in sizes from 3.5 to 10.1 inches. They are combined with high-quality industrial TFTs in TN (Twisted Nematic) and IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology. But also CTPs (Capacitive Touch Panels) bonded with decorative glasses can be combined as standard variants. The kits are supplied with FreeRTOS. This is a powerful real-time operating system (RTOS) based on a microkernel architecture and specially developed for embedded systems. It allows real-time control of the board, starts within 100 milliseconds and performs its tasks efficiently. Thanks to this lean operating system, smooth animations can also be realised in good quality.

The standard displays have the following resolutions:

• 3,5 inch: 320 x 240 (QVGA) and 480 x 320 (WQVGA)
• 4,3 inch: 480 x 272
• 5,0 inch: 800 x 480 (WVGA)
• 7,0 inch: 800 x 480 (WVGA) and 1024 x 600 (WSVGA)
• 10,1 inch: 1024 x 600 (WSVGA)

TFT modules with high-quality polarisers
The TFT modules used are characterised by both bright and long-life LED backlights.
High-quality polarisers such as wide viewing angles are used for optimal optics. The kits contain the following: Controller board,, CTP sensor, neutral decorative glass front, power supply, programming adapter, cable set for the power supply, programming and I/O cable set, USB memory stick with the documentation and project examples.

The following additional add-on modules are available: Bluetooth & SD card, proximity sensor and light sensor, 3D acceleration sensor (gyroscope), MEMS pressure sensor, NFC interface chip, WiFi add-on (optional LoRa), RFID sensor, AD/DA converter and application board with relays, buttons and LEDs. If larger quantities of the smart embedded product are planned, customised boards are offered by DMB Technics.

These are optimised and redesigned for the application-specific features to achieve an excellent cost/performance structure. Of course, specific TFT modules and touch systems can also be used.
These include, for example, modules with a high brightness (sunlight readable) or a touch panel with water wetting for outdoor applications.
