TFT displays are among the most versatile and most widely used display technologies today. They enable colour display, high resolutions and modern user interfaces. This makes them particularly suitable for applications in which information needs to be presented clearly, attractively and interactively.
Thanks to the wide range of available sizes, resolutions, interfaces and technologies, TFT displays can be flexibly adapted to different requirements. From compact displays in handheld devices to large-format HMI systems for industrial applications, TFT technology provides a broad technical basis.
IPS technology can be used to achieve wide viewing angles and consistent colour reproduction, while high-brightness variants ensure excellent readability even in bright surroundings or direct sunlight. Bar-type or stretched TFT displays are ideal for special installation formats, slim control panels or elongated display formats.
TFT displays can also be combined very well with touch technologies, cover lneses, optical bonding, customized backlight, housings or specific interfaces. As a result, they often form the foundation of advanced HMI-Solutions.

AMOLED displays deliver exceptional image quality with brilliant colours, deep blacks and very high contrast. Unlike conventional LCD or TFT technologies, AMOLED displays do not require a separate backlight, as each pixel generates its own light. This results in particularly intense colours, remarkable image depth and a premium visual appearance.
A major advantage of AMOLED technology is its form factor. The displays can be made extremely thin, lightweight and even flexible, opening up new possibilities for product design. This makes AMOLED particularly attractive for compact devices, curved surfaces or design-oriented concepts.
AMOLED displays offer ultra-fast response time, making them ideal for dynamic content, animations or high-end graphical user interfaces. With dark image content, power consumption can be reduced because black pixels are not actively lit. For premium HMI systems and modern smart devices, AMOLED technology provides a highly sophisticated and visually impressive user experience.
AMOLED is the ideal choice wherever image quality, design freedom, and a premium first impression are key requirements.

PMOLED displays combine the benefits of OLED technology with a compact and cost-effective design. They are particularly suitable for smaller displays where high contrast, excellent readability and a slim form factor are essential.
As PMOLED displays are self-emitting, they do not require a backlight. This means they can be built very flat while still delivering a clear, high-contrast image. PMOLED displays are an attractive solution especially for monochrome displays, status information, small symbols or compact graphic content.
Compared to more advanced AMOLED displays, PMOLEDs feature a simpler construction and are primarily used in smaller display sizes. They are commonly found in handheld devices, measuring instruments, medical devices or control panels where little space is available but a modern and high-quality appearance is still desired.

LED displays are based on individual light-emitting diodes and are primarily used in appliances where information must be highly visible, robust and readable from greater distances. Unlike LCD or TFT displays, LED technology focuses less on fine graphics and more on maximum visibility and signaling effect.
The technology is particularly suitable for large-format displays, status indicators, information systems or both indoors and outdoor applications. Thanks to their high brightness, LED displays remain clearly visible even in strong ambient light or direct sunlight.
Depending on the application, different pixel pitches, brightness levels and form factors can be realized. This means LED displays can be used for compact status indicators as well as for large-scale information displays or digital signage systems.
LED displays impress with their robustness, long service life and strong visual impact. They are a good choice when information needs to be communicated quickly, clearly and over long viewing distances.

Micro LED is regarded as one of the most exciting developments in the display industry. The technology combines key advantages of OLED and LED: self-emitting pixels, exceptional brightness, outstanding contrast and a long operational lifetime.
In Micro LED displays, microscopically small LEDs generate light directly at the pixel level, eliminating the need for a separate backlight. At the same time, the technology offers very high luminance, precise colour reproduction and a significantly lower risk of burn-in compared to many other display technologies.
Micro LED is particularly suitable for demanding applications where image quality, durability and energy efficiency are critical. Typical use cases include high-end HMI systems, automotive applications, industrial visualization, control rooms and devices with special requirements for brightness and longevity.
Another major advantage in scalability. Micro LED technology can theoretically be implemented in a wide range of sizes and formats, making it a highly attractive platform for future-oriented and customized display solutions.

E-Paper displays offer a viewing experience that closely resembles printed paper. The technology consumes power only when the displayed content changes. Once an image or text is shown, it remains visible without a continuous power supply.
This makes E-Paper displays particularly suitable for battery-powered devices, IoT applications and systems in which information is displayed statically for extended periods. Typical use cases include electronic shelf labels, door signage, room occupancy systems, sensor displays or smart home applications.
E-Paper displays are very easy to read in ambient light and do not require a backlight. The image appears calm, flicker-free and easy on the eyes. Depending on the technology, E-Paper displays can present not only black-and-white content but also additional colors such as red or yellow and in some cases even full-color images.
For applications where energy efficiency, reeadability and a reduced, clear design are important, E-Paper technology provides an attractive solution.

FALD stands for Full Array Local Dimming and describes an advanced backlight technology used in TFT displays. An LED backlight with several individually controllable dimming zones is positioned behind the display. These zones can be adjusted dynamically based on the displayed image content, allowing specific areas to become brighter or darker as required.
Compared to conventional TFT displays, FALD technology enables significantly deeper blacks, higher contrast ratios and enhanced image quality. Bright areas of the image can be displayed intensely, while dark areas are dimmed further. This results in a richer and more realistic visual experience.
FALD displays are particularly suitable for applications where image quality, brightness and contrast are important. Typical applications include medical devices, industrial image processing, control rooms, high-end HMI systems and automotive applications.
By combining the proven benefits of TFT technology with sophisticated backlight control, FALD creates a powerful display solution for demanding visualization applications.
