The customized display solution for Aerofoils
The display is meant to withstand demanding operating conditions. For this purpose, our experts developed a custom 2.2-inch TFT display with 240×320 (QVGA) resolution and Blanview® technology. This technology offers excellent visibility, even in bright sunlight, while maintaining low power consumption.
The display is further equipped with a waterproof construction rated IP67/IP68 and specially hardened glass with UV-resistant printing, making it perfectly suited for harsh outdoor environments. Its robust mechanical layer structure provides additional protection against shocks and impacts.
After an intensive development phase of approximately 1.5 years, including extensive testing and validation, the display successfully entered mass production.
In challenging outdoor environment, conventional display solutions are often not enough. The same applied to the specific requirements for the Audi e-tron eFoil remote control. Aerofoils was looking for a partner capable of guiding the project from concept to production-ready display. Thanks to our more than 20 years of experience in the development of customized displays, we have built extensive expertise. This also convinced Aerofoils. Blanview® Technology for superior readability
The 2.2-inch TFT display with QVGA resolution (240×320) is based on Blanview® technology, delivering outstanding readability in both challenging lighting conditions and low power consumption. Optical interference is minimized by this technology and good legibility is made possible, especially in direct sunlight and over reflective water surfaces.
Built for action
The display is optimally equipped for outdoor use through UV-stable printing and a waterproof construction rated to IP67/68. Specially hardened cover glass and a carefully engineered mechanical design provide exceptional resistance to shocks and impacts.
